From Armor to Alignment: My Awakening Truth

Transform Yourself, Transform Your Life

I Used to Wear My Armor. Now I Am It.

There was a time when I lived inside a body that felt like both a shield and a prison. I carried nearly 300 pounds, but the weight wasn’t just physical—it was emotional, mental, and spiritual. That body protected me when I didn’t yet know how to protect myself. It helped me survive seasons I didn’t have the tools to understand.

And for a long time, I honored it for that.

But survival is not the same as living.

Because underneath everything—before the labels, before the conditioning, before I learned to doubt myself—I was always connected.

My ability to communicate with the unseen, to feel energy, to sense what others couldn’t explain… that was never something I “became.” It was something I always was.

I just didn’t understand it.

I was too enclosed. Too distracted. Too disempowered to know how to navigate it.

So instead of trusting it, I muted it.

My life took me through experiences that cracked me open in ways I couldn’t have planned. About ten years ago, everything began to shift. I went through a divorce. I experienced homelessness. I began releasing hard drugs. I made the decision to have bariatric surgery to support my physical transformation. I went back to school and immersed myself in behavioral and mental health, and business—because I knew I wanted to work for myself, in a way that actually aligned with who I was becoming.

That was the beginning of my awakening.

Not glamorous. Not easy. But real.

And through that process, I started to come back to myself.

To my body.
To my truth.
To my connection.

Bit by bit, I cleared what was clouding me—and my awareness sharpened. My gifts didn’t suddenly appear… they became accessible. Understandable. Grounded.

What was once overwhelming became something I could hold with clarity.

And then came another layer of deepening.

My mother passed when I was just seven years old. That loss shaped me in ways I didn’t fully understand until much later. And when my father passed this past November, something profound shifted within me.

There was grief, yes.

But there was also clarity. Forgiveness. Peace.

An unfiltered connection.

It wasn’t about “reaching” for them. It was an immediate knowing. A presence. A relationship that didn’t end—it transformed. They are no longer outside of me in the way I once understood. They are integrated into my awareness, part of my internal guidance system, helping me navigate life in a way that feels deeply supported and aligned.

We are all interconnected.

And when we allow ourselves to step out of constant distraction, numbing, and conditioning, we begin to remember that.

This lifestyle—this path of awareness, mindfulness, and conscious choice—raises your frequency. It clears the static. It allows you to perceive energy, truth, and connection in a way that most people have been taught to ignore.

Because a connected, aware, self-trusting person is not easily controlled.

We were taught to be consumers in a world we were meant to create within.

“Medicate this.”
“You need this to function.”
“Work, follow, comply.”

I lived that.

But I also chose to step out of it.

I began reminding myself daily of the freedom in being—being present, grounded, honest. Saying, “This isn’t okay,” and advocating for myself. Speaking my truth, even when my voice shook.

That’s where everything changed.

Because the real work wasn’t just external—it was internal.

I had to get radically honest with myself. About where I was still abandoning myself. About the people I was allowing into my life. About where I was still identifying as a victim instead of stepping into my power.

Those truths were hard.

But they were awakening truths.

This journey became one of reparenting myself—learning to give myself the safety, structure, love, and accountability I once needed. Creating a life that feels aligned, not performative.

And through it all, I built something that reflects that truth.

Makeupyourpower.

What started as makeup and tarot has evolved over the past six years into something far deeper—psychic mediumship, spiritual guidance, clarity, and integration for those standing at a crossroads in their lives.

This work is not about telling people who they are.

It’s about helping them remember.

Holding space for them to reconnect. To see clearly. To choose consciously.

Along this path, I’ve come to understand the feminine archetype I embody—the Phoenix.

The woman who burns, transforms, and rises. Again and again.

Not because it’s easy—but because it’s necessary.

Because growth requires release. Identity requires evolution. And power requires truth.

My story is not perfect—but it is resilient. Every experience, every loss, every decision shaped me into who I am today.

And I no longer carry shame for any of it.

I use it.

We don’t need to give power to what hurt us by staying angry, resentful, or stuck in it. We reclaim our power by embodying who we are now. By leading with love—grounded, boundaried, and clear.

That is what wins.

Even in the hardest moments.

Especially in the hardest moments.

Because that is where faith becomes real.

Where intention becomes action.

Where you choose yourself.

I do this for me. And I do this for my children. So they can see that nothing is absolute. That they can evolve. That they are creators, not just participants.

That their voice matters.

That their truth matters.

So this is me—standing fully in my becoming.

Connected. Grounded. Aware.

Still growing. Still learning. Still choosing.

Be who your soul knows you to be.

One micro change at a time.
One honest choice at a time.
One aligned step at a time.

Bit by bit…

Makeup your power.
